This made me smile and remember - although not so far back as this picture. My sister who was 11 years my senior played netball in the 1950's. The uniforms had short pleated skirts and they had to conform to a shortness rule and they were actually measured to make sure the skirt was long enough for modesty!! Great take on the theme, Yvonne.
What a great image - I remember at school we had to kneel on the floor and if our skirt was more than a certain number of inches off the floor ( I can't remember how many but it was a long time ago!) it was too short. Ali xx
